Where to begin!?I’ve been around the IM scene for a while now (about 3 years), and I know what it feels like to be frustrated.

You’re confused, unsure of which business model you’re supposed to use, your brain is flooded with information overload, and you’ve got 10 e-books on your computer that are gathering dust because you’ve (a) never followed through, or (b) felt like you were still missing vital info / instructions.

I’m willing to bet that you have gathered enough info to be making money ages ago, but you have failed to knuckle down, ORGANISE your info, generate a business plan of your own, and STICK TO IT.

Sorry, but you have only yourself to blame for that.

You have to come to the realization that in all likelihood, the main obstacle in your path is NOT information overload, or some missing information, or being sold short in all the products and magic buttons you bought. Most likely, the main obstacle between you and success, is you.

If nothing is happening for you, then you’ve got to change something. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results – or perhaps in your case, not doing something.

Don’t feel threatened, nervous, intimidated or anxious about jumping in at the deep end, no matter how much you think you don’t know. Start doing something, anything. You will learn along the way. Get a product to promote and start promoting it!

Try doing the following in order, and see how things change for you:

One of the biggest hindrances to productivity and success is a lack of organization. Chances are, if you’ve been trying this for a awhile, you have a ton of reports and ebooks sitting on your hard drive. Create folders on your desktop and organize and categorize every piece of information you have on your hard drive.

You can have a folder for all your traffic reports, a folder for all your niche research reports, a folder for yourSEO reports etc. Have all of the reports and ebooks you’ve ever downloaded categorized and organized into relevant folders.

Now you can write your own report on the best tips you can find in each folder. For example, in your traffic folder, write a short report for yourself on the best traffic tips and strategies you got out of your traffic reports.

You should end up with a good report on each aspect of internet marketing by the time you’re done.

There are plenty of different methods and action plans you can use. Just choose one, and make a DECISION right now to stick with that one until you make money.

An example of a basic outline of an action plan for affiliate marketing may look like this:

a) niche research and product selection
b) keyword research and competition analysis
c) create a blog / website
d) add content
e) drive traffic
f) test and improve conversions

Now you’re going to use the action plan you’ve chosen in step 2 as your template, and around that core you’re going to develop a business plan combining each of the reports you wrote in step 1.

Open up your favourite word processor and start writing down your action plan for each step of the process. Go into detail. The aim is not to write a NY Times best seller though – just use bullet points and do what works for you.

You’re going to break each step down into smaller action plans. For example:

(a) niche research and product selection
Your Niche Research Report
- check Ebay Pulse for trends
- check Google trends
- check Clickbank and run through categories
- is it a problem / need? Is there a product to solve it?
- choose a product that is converting well

(b) keyword research and competition analysis
Your Keyword Research Report
- step 1
- step 2 etc

By the time you’re done, you should have a complete and thorough, step by step plan to follow.

If you get stuck here or there, or find yourself short of information, don’t forget the search function here on the WARRIOR FORUM. Pick any subject, I can almost guarantee a Warrior has posted about it on the forum.

Do yourself a favour and get into the WAR ROOM if you aren’t already in there. That place is a goldmine.

Again, organizing yourself will keep you focused and keep you taking action. I find it helps me to plan my days ahead. So, for example, take the business plan you’ve developed in step 3, and break it down into daily to-do lists.

For example, you could set aside an hour a day to do backlinking, 30 min every 2nd day to post on forums, an hour every 3rd day to write 3 articles, or whatever works for you and your time constraints. If you only have an hour a day, then plan your tasks in hourly sections.

Stick to your to-do lists and make sure you complete them.

Now all that’s left to do is to take action and do the work. You now know what you have to do, so what is your excuse?

Yes, you will make mistakes. But you can’t learn from mistakes until you’ve made them. Don’t let fear of failure hold you back from success.

Once you’ve got the ball rolling and you get into a habit of doing your daily tasks and build momentum, you will start to gain experience and begin learning what works and what doesn’t work. You can always tweak your plan here and there as you move along.

Now as you read through this, I hope that a few light bulbs switched on and that you have the confidence to go out and start doing something. The most important ingredient to success is perseverance, so go for it and don’t quit!
